Yokowo Co., Ltd. has obtained Science Based Targets (SBT) certification, one of the internationally recognized standards for climate action. Yokowo’s greenhouse gas emission reduction targets have been recognized as aligned with the Paris Agreement, and the company has therefore received SBT certification from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
(Note 1: Science Based Targets initiative: A joint initiative by CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) that encourages companies to set greenhouse gas reduction targets consistent with the Paris Agreement and evaluates and certifies these targets.)

【Our Targets】
Yokowo has set the following mid- to long-term targets and is working globally to reduce greenhouse gas emissions:
・Achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by fiscal year 2040
・Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 42%, and Scope 3 emissions by 25% by fiscal year 2030 compared to fiscal year 2024
To achieve these targets, Yokowo has been promoting the adoption and utilization of renewable energy, taking into account the specific characteristics of its operations in each country and region.
