A massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck Japan in the Pacific coasts of Tohoku area on March 11, 2011, followed by a deadly tsunami that swept away villages along the Pacific Coast. Our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies go out to the people and their families in these affected areas, and we wish for their rapid recovery.

The following is a summary overview of the damages reported at Yokowo Co., Ltd. operating sites and Yokowo subsidiaries in Japan as of 17:00 JST on Wednesday, March 16, 2011.

Yokowo headquarters in Tokyo, Yokowo Tomioka Plant, and Yokowo subsidiaries located in Gunma prefecture sustained no serious facility or property damage. Fortunately there were no injuries or casualties reported among our employees in the country, and Yokowo has been able to resume normal operations as of March 14.

Yokowo is making every effort to minimize the impact on operations while the country is facing its most difficult time.
